TONI KOCH

Toni KochToni Koch is a native of Phoenix, AZ now based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in Artist Development & Management. For the past 20 years, Toni’s work and passion has focused on break out marketing and guerilla marketing for all styles of music, visual art and authors. She is known for her work as a street team pioneer (Evening Star Productions, Clear Channel), earning a few awards, Indie Promoter of the Year for local shows, a platinum record from Columbia Records for club and radio promotion in 1986 (The Hooters “And We Danced”) and has continued to be on the cutting edge in showcasing and connecting music industry forces with emerging talent. She is the owner/director of TK Promotions and the music placement vehicle Pitch-A-Song with bring music placement pro’s together with the music makers!

Toni is an expert on street teaming, available for artist relations services for the ethereal as well as earthly inspired. Her career spans nearly 30 years now with a long list of credentials including Record Store Manager (Zia Records/Phoenix), Music Buyer (Tower Records/Phoenix), and moving into booking and promotions in the late 90’s.

Bonnie Raitt, K.D. Lang, Melissa Etheridge, Men at Work, The Hooters, Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders, Tap Dogs, and many other artists or bands from the 80’ and ‘90’s are just a sampling of concerts or projects she coordinated concert street team promotion. In 2003 Toni moved to Los Angeles and now works with a variety of artists and entrepreneurs.

Toni is also Marketing/PR for COSMO, the Coalition of Songwriter & Music Organizations, www.cosmocoalition.org. COSMO in association with TK Promotions, produces and presents Pitch-a-Song, a series of “music industry panel and workshop events to bring the music right to the hands of the people who can license music.”

The past decade Toni has traveled across the U.S. and was part off the faculty for Australian Songwriters Conerence 2008, 2009 and 2010. She will continue to offer services for indie songwriters as the new music industry begins to take form. “We are the industry, old school, new school and some of us who got kicked out of school. Toni Koch is a platinum record recipient who&quots helped produce large festivals & developed marketing strategies for Evening Star Productions, and has also promoted & helped break now famous artists like Indigo Girls, Sara McLachlan, Joan Osborne, Lyle Lovett, Chris Isaak, Men at Work, Madonna, Billy Joel, Elton John, KD Lang, Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Raitt , Prince, Tori Amos & many others in her native Phoenix. Currently, Toni is promoting, booking and working artist relations as TK Promo for specific talent she believes in with their books, music and art being a positive gift to the world.

As an artist, Mandi Martin had recording contracts with Candix, Columbia, and Epic RCA, landed on the country charts with her self-penned/self-produced "Nice Girl" on Prince Records and has publishing deals with some of the biggest names in Nashville and L.A. she was the first signed staff songwriter for ABC Music (MCA) in Nashville. Managing Tangerine Music Publishing for Ray Charles taught her how to engineer and honed her production skills. Mandi"s reputation as a producer has allowed her to pick & choose projects she wants to work on, & the latest release from Nick Daughtery is a fine example of how great songs & production come together.

Rising producer Steven Leavitt has has worked with respected indie artists such as Chris Opperman, Amy Clarke,  Marina V, and The Venus Iluminato (who's 7 song production attracted interest from Warner Brothers and Rhino Records). His life in music began at a young age and has spanned many genres: Folk, Rock, Orchestral, Electronic, and Pop. Steve is also co-founder of the "Don"t Call Us Tori" concert series with Shannon Hurley. Steve is currently producing the full-length album "Time and Space" with Lobate Scarp, a Los Angeles-based progressive rock act reminiscent of Genesis and Yes.
