Joanne Ledesma, founder of Ledesma Music, is a master at networking and an artist's best allies in the music industry.  She is recognized for her strong ability to connect the dots in the diverse world of music entertainment.    

Joanne has been an advocate for musicians and artists in her community for over 15 years. She learned to refine her musical ears and eyes by earning the respect and support of her fellow musicians and superb networking ability.  Her nearly 4 years at Disc Marketing,  proved to be another arena for her to hone her skills as she worked in the Entertainment Programming division. As Production Coordinator for DMI.  she participated creatively by capturing exclusive inter views with artists like Carlos Santana, Andrea Bochelli, Mana, Tom Petty others as well as creating and programming music channels from Latin to Blues and whole lot more.

She’s placed composers and producers with key writing positions that paid 5 digits & up.  She has signed numerous artists in to film & TV music agreements which can be heard on South Park, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, WB network, Tri-Star Pictures and more.  As if that’s not enough, she has placed lots of artists with studio work, production, engineering, and publicity work.

Work History

Ledesma Music-President (Since 1986)

Network the needs of artists, songwriters and musicians with the needs of engineers, studios and producers for project production.  Create marketing plans for artists and develop public relations for their target audiences. Campaign for record, publishing and distribution contracts.  Produce demos for new emerging artists and create marketing strategies.  Conduct project management for tracking, mixing, mastering and manufacturing. Create press kits, biographies, branding and artwork for artists. Consult with individual artists for career advancement, recommendations and song critiques. Consult for music events and conferences including booking of talent/presenters/lecturers, keynote speakers and sponsors. Manage artists in U.S and Latin Markets. Network with music manufacturers for product placement and endorsement.

DMI Entertainment Programming Production Coordinator (1999-2004)

Coordinate and create award winning audio programming for clients like United Airlines, Ted Airlines, Air Force 1, Air Force 2, Amtrak, America West Airlines, Cinema Sounds and others. Obtain exclusive interviews with artists such as Carlos Santana, Andrea Bochelli, Joe Walsh, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Tom Petty, Bootsy Collins, YES, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, John Mayall, Dave Koz, Chicago, Eddie Money, Poncho Sanchez, Ray Manzarek, John Doe, Grace Slick, Kenny Loggins, Maná, Chris Hillman, Richie Furay, Rodger McGuinn and many others. Coordinate and conduct on and offsite interviews. Collect assets from record labels, public relations firms and managers. Coordinate and create play lists and artwork for magazines and entertainment guides and ear proof music for production in multiple genres. Contribute to the creativity of programming. Maintain music library, public relations materials and entertainment guides. Recruit, and schedule voice-overs, scriptwriters and programmers with the studio. Produce audio program channels and marketing demos, including pre-production, post-production, editing, and scriptwriting.

Recruit artists to record labels for contracting.  Research and recruit songs and artists in multiple music genres for placement in film, TV, commercials and promotional programming. Work with independent music supervisors for music placement.  Recruit composers to write new material for source libraries. Submit songs to commercial record labels for compilation projects.
