created to bridge the gap of companies working directly with music
artists and entertainment based projects who are in need of additional
marketing support. MHP also focuses on non-music
ventures such as corporate brand building, cosmetics, gaming, sports
and other industries. MHP’s goal is to elevate your product or artist
to a higher ground in an expedient timeframe by exposing them to new
online audiences. MHP also focuses on taking our campaigns one step
further by cross-promoting all traditional methods of marketing with
online opportunities for further outreach.
Chip Schutzman formed MHP in July of 2003 after observing a gradual lack of efforts made to effectively promote artists online. Sometimes limited resources to market artists in a traditional sense and the results are minimal based on today’s trends in downsizing of companies and lack of resources. MHP’s list of services to music labels, artist management and artists and to other companies are a compliment or supplement to co-existing traditional marketing plan strategies.
Chip Schutzman brings over 15 years of media experience which includes broadcast production for radio, television and internet media outlets as well as interactive marketing concepts and campaigns.
Schutzman started his career in 1985 with CBS News in New York as an assistant in the news division and worked with CBS news anchors Dan Rather, Maria Shriver and Forest Sawyer. While there, Schutzman worked as an assistant on the then-new series, “48 Hours” and on the CBS Evening News. In 1987, Schutzman took on the role of general manager for radio station WCUR-AM and went on to work for several radio stations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. In 1994, Chip relocated to Los Angeles to work with House of Blues Entertainment. He is credited with the initial content development for HOB Digital (hob.com). As the evolution of the internet took place, Chip was instrumental in turning hob.com into the leading live music provider on the web by developing, positioning and maintaining key relationships with artists, managers and record labels to secure digital rights for webcasts, interviews, and marketing of special projects. He is also accredited with the development of 20 internet radio stations within the HOB Radio Network, and was responsible for maintaining content distribution deals with AOL, MTV Interactive, DMX Music and MSN and assisted in the rights clearances of 4 DVD Productions (Public Enemy, Motley Crue, Psychedelic Furs and Kool & The Gang). Most recently, Chip has consulted and completed online marketing projects for several platinum selling artists including Barbra Streisand, Jewel, Gary Allan, Peter Frampton, The Bee Gees, Radiohead, Coldplay, Stone Temple Pilots, Ozzy Osbourne and Heart.
As part of our campaigns, MHP creates and uses our own technology and design and concepts to support fans and the community of fans. We create marketing tools such as ecards, wallpapers, screensavers, AOL IM Buddy Icons, and customized viral online media jukeboxes. We also have the ability to encode any multimedia assets as well as stream and host your content.
